Will definately look into the mixology places, sound vibrant and relaxed all at the same time, would work well Thanks and agree on it being tough (Chicago is a great eating town) am probably looking for something less touristy like Carmines or Tavern on Rush etc. They are more focused on mixology than food and have very limited menus but have a great atmosphere etc. I would also really recommend checking out a place like Violet Hour or Drawing Room. Chilam Balam is a similar Mexican restaurant. Homebistro is very moderatley priced and great BYOB in Lakeview/Boystown. Also any cool places to head for some drinks after, a little bit of scene and some energy but nothing too crazy I am looking for something decent and close by (Maybe River North area) and chill for Friday night but with some energy as I am coming in mid evening. Unlike most of my trips to Chicago this will be all for fun.įriday night will probably get to the Hotel around 8:30 Will be in town with a new GF and am staying at Marriott Renaissance Downtown.
